In Bogotá every Sundays and Holidays the Bogota mayor´s office orders to shut down the streets where usually the cars are driving. From 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. the streets are transformed in real official bike ways where over 4 millions people go to enjoy Bogota by cycling, walking and riding skates and longboards. Also the people use La ciclovia (Bicycle way) to do many type of exercises from Professional cycling to Hard core.

Ciclovia now in Bogota is more than a simple day it is a traditional day. La ciclovia have been in Bogota along 36 years. It were found in 1976 this idea born from dissatisfied students who made a pacific protest with bicycles in the most important streets. Then the state transportation office approved the idea. The dreams of students had become in a reality.
