Baggage Keeper in EL DORADO AIRPORT in Bogotá:

 In the national arrival zone at the airport is located the establishment Baggage Keeper, where you can keep your luggage for long time (1 – 12 hours).

 The price to keeps the baggage at the airport is: $15.000 / USD $6.6. (This cost could change without previous advice)

Can I carry my luggage in the tour?

 Yes, you can bring your bags with you during the tour, since our vehicle and our drivers would be permanently inside of it to guarantee the security of your staff. Remember to advise us in advace If you want to bring more than 2 luggage per person to be sure of our space at the vehicle.

From where starts my Bogota Layover tour?

For sure we will start picking you up in front of one of the main exit gates. But first you have to send us your compete flight information to offer you the exact information of How we going to pick you up.

Can I change money at the airport?

Yes. But keep in mind that the rate of the change at the aiport is lower than in the rest of Bogotá and Colombia, So we recommend you to change only the money that you really think you need.
 Also keep in mind that change money at the airport could be a good idea If you arrive at the airport on a “holiday” or Sunday because most of the exchange money shops are closed in Bogotá.
 The main currencies accepted at the aiport are: (Us Dollars – Euros – Reales – Canadian dollars – Sterlin Pounds – Mexican / Chilean Pesos). 

How is the payment for my Layover tour?

Unlike other tour operators in Bogota we only request you from  20% of the total cost of your tour.

What happend if my flight is delayed?

Before you arrive we will check the progress of your flight and If it is delayed we will analyze If is viable to keep going with your booking and the tour. If so the cost of the tour will be the same of the agreed cost, this is because all our staff will reserve the time, costs, vehicles and logistic for you, However the ends of your tour will be the same without a delay (But If delays of the flight is informed by customer around 12 hours before “we will confirm If si possible to reschedule the all Layover tour”).

 Because of the delay of your flight is not viable to operate or to keep your Layover tour we will cancel it and you won´t have to pay any more, that´s why we ask you a small percentage of deposit in case you could not do the tour you won´t lost more money.

What about security at Bogota International airport:

Since the last 11 years the security in Colombia have changed dramatically “We are happy of that :)” and the international airport of Bogotá today is considerate as one of the safest in latin America with 6.000 cameras and police officers around of it, However are very few guys who try good luck to rob the luggage which are meters away of the owners or left alone for minutes by its owners (No very usual)

Can I sleep at the international airport?

Certainly not. You can´t sleep as in bed because this airport doesn´t have beds or reclining seats (But some already are reclined). However untill we know If you have booked a flight with executive or premium class seat with Avianca, you will get entrance to a VIP room for Layovers with an upscale style, comfy seats, free food and showers.

PLEASE NOTE – Canadian citizens must pay a reciprocity fee of  $160,000 Colombian Pesos (about $60 USD) per person when entering a Colombia by air. This fee is valid for a single entry into the country.
It is payable by international credit card or CASH. If is made in cash, the payment must be in Colombian pesos. A dedicated counter will be available for Canadian citizens who must pay the reciprocity fee before proceeding to immigration control.
