VISIT THE 2 LARGEST SALT MINES UNDERGROUND OF COLOMBIA.
Our tour starts from Bogota to Nemocón; A small colonial town 65 kilómetros from Bogotá-Colombia, which looks stocked in the time. Here is where is located the Salt mine of Nemocon exploited for its salt before of the colonization.
Inside of the Salt mine of Nemocon you will descend 80 meters underground to find its tunnels made during the salt extraction. Offering a natural look with low technology interventions as (Tourist shops or fancy lights) looking unique and beautiful. Is in this mine where was recordered part of the Hollywood´s movie “LOS 33 / The 33”. After or before touring inside the Nemocon Salt mine you will be able to visit Nemocon´s historic center.
The second place you will visit is the first marvel in Colombia it is the Salt cathedral of Zipaquira located 49 Kilometers from Bogota. The Salt cathedral is a former salt mine which has been converted in a in a cathedral part of it made by the miners. It presents a perfect symbology between the man work and the beautiful forms created by God and nature. A short sightseeing tour at Zipaquira small city´s historic center will be offered.

Warning: The walking inside of both salt mines could not be recommended for people with Low blood pressure – heart problems – Hypoglycemia – Diabetes – limited mobility of knees. The walking inside of both aren´t so demanding.
