Enjoy a introduction to the main hightlights of Bogota and Colombian history in a guided tour. Also the world´s biggest Salt cathedral will be visited in this tour loated in Zipaquira city at the northern part of Bogotá

 ITINERARY:

Visita a la Catedral de sal de Zipaquira: 

The Salt cathedral is a former salt mine that has been converted in a cathedral by local and Colombian engineers. It presents a perfect symbology between the man work and the beautiful forms created by God and nature. The visitors can go to the deepest naves of the salt cathedral 180 meters underground where are located the main highlights.

Visit Monserrate hill 

Bogota historic center; La Candelaria:

Plaza de Bolivar or Bolivar square: 

The tour starts from Bogota to a private “hacienda” (coffee plantation). Rounded by a beautiful garden where you can appreciate the real native plants from our tropical weather, typical plants and flowers from this region: as Orchids, Bromelia, Cacao and Bamboo.

Afterwards, you will be introduced to the culture of coffee: its different types of crops, its different colors and sizes of beans. You will also could learn how to pick up the coffee and identify the best coffee beans from the plants. Then the natural enemies of the coffee (parasites) and the mutations of coffee plants will be explained.

Moreover pulping, drying, roasting, packaging will be introduced to you. Finally, the customer will test the flavor of a good quality coffee with an included coffee cup. Then we will offer you as part of the experience a fruit test and a typical lunch.

Transfer (Hotel –  Bogota airport) + Transfer (Cartagena airport – Hotel in Cartagena).

According to the available time after arrival time in Cartagena we will recommend things to do during the free time in Cartagena
