If your flight arrives in Cartagena before 2:30 p.m. you can take this tour on the first day. Otherwise this activity would be scheduled for the second day in the afternoon.

Cartagena´s Bay of Bocagrande: 

 We will offer you a sightseeing tour through the bay of Bocagrande and around 

Clock tower: 

Visit to the clock tower, which is the main entrance to the walled city of Cartagena and is the most popular meeting point in Cartagena.

Tour trought the walled City of Cartagena and the historic center:

We will begin a walk through the main attractions of the colonial historic center of Cartagena.

We will visit and walk on the walled city area to enjoy one the best highlights wichi is te stunning view, the beautiful historic center of Cartagena to the south and the bay of the historic center of Cartagena to the north. You will also be able to see and touch the original cannons of the Spanish artillery, learn about its history and get in to “Guardiola” the security checkpoints of the wall against pirates.

India Catalina´s Monument and Square 

This monument exposes the first indigenous woman translator (Spanish – indigenous languages in Cartagena), because she was kidnapped as a child by the founder of Cartagena Pedro Heredia and fulfilled a role that suited the colonists, for the colonization and evangelization of Cartagena. This is the only indigenous image that is honored in Cartagena today.

San Felipe´s Castle: 

We will enter this one; a Castle and Fortress built in tribute to the King of Spain San Felipe de Barajas. This is one of the largest fortifications built in the Spanish colony which was used to protect important elements and used as a prison for African slaves.

Marbella´s Bay + Cartagena´s letter: 

We will make a stop in the Marbella sector where the letters with the intention of welcoming you to Cartagena are located. Iconic place to take a photo.

Sightseeing tour around the islands

After leaving the pier we will take a visual tour between the Rosario Islands, to be able to enjoy the natural views of the marine biodiversity of the Colombian coast in more detail. Among the islands you will know; Big island, the small Island of the Pablo Escobar Cartel, Isla Barú among others

The Rosario Islands are an archipelago made up of 28 small islands, some of them very touristy and others private. No matter which island you visit, they are all very beautiful with impressive views of a crystal clear sea surrounded by a line of corals near the beach.

 

Visit Oceanarium:

Additionally, during the tour, before noon, the option is offered for the client to choose whether they want to enter the island’s oceanarium, which is one of the largest aquariums in natural surroundings on the Colombian Atlantic coast, where you can see different types of mammals from the Colombian Atlantic Sea and its marine biodiversity and also being able to enjoy acrobatic shows with dolphins. OPTIONALLY (with additional cost): The client can choose if they want to do a short snorkeling/snorkeling session around the island to come into contact with the marine life and its real environment. Only in case you do not want to visit the Aquarium.

Lunch + Beach afternoon on Isla Baru 

• En lancha, continuaremos hasta la Isla de Barú, en donde tendrás disponible la playa y asoleadoras disponibles, para disfrutar y relajarte durante el resto del día.
• Almuerzo: Después del Medio día, se ofrece almuerzo típico Costeño (Pescado típico “Mojarra frita”, arroz con coco, patacón o plátano frito, ensalada y limonada)

Return to Cartagena 

Subject to the time restrictions established by the government or mayor of Cartagena or Barú, the return to Cartagena can be around 2 to 3 p.m.

Transfer service to Medellin airport + farewell.

As it is the last day, you will be able to take advantage of the free time available prior to the departure flight from Medellin airport. We can also make recommendations for places to visit or what to do before your departure flight.
